Family Visits!

It is always nice to have family! Expecially when they live a couple thousand miles away! We have been very blessed our family has come out to see and meet Hunter. Last week we had my Dad and step-mom Steph out, and along with them they brought my nephew Mackay.
We went to the beach, and the boys decided to go for a swim while Steph, Hunter and I watched from the beach. My dad bought Mackay a net to catch stuff with and so he and uncle Jay were on the search for..who knows!
We toured downtown Charleston which is full of history. We went to the markets and did some shopping. Mackay thought the horse and buggy rides were pretty cool though we didnt get the chance to go on one. One of our favorite things to do is go to the Riverdog baseball games! So we all went and ate boiled peanuts and watched the home team play the Rome Braves. We were very glad to see them though the visit passed very quickly.

Hunters 1st Week

There is nothing more exciting knowing that you have just had a healthy baby boy, and both you and baby are able to return home the next day to start your life together as a family! Although the hospital must not have the same feelings because they take there sweet time releasing you! But Hunter and I were soon released and able go home with daddy to Grammie, Papa, Aunt Mandi, Uncle Jeremy, and cousin Hallie.

Hallie loves her new baby cousin! She loved to hold him, pat him and give him lots of kisses! She was so cute with him!

Hunter is a very good baby! So we decided to take him out in style to Patriots Point to tour the navy ships. He did very good for being 4 days old! He is so cute!

We had a lot of fun! The weather was good and Hunter and I kicked back and stayed where it was cool because the ships did not have AC and it was like touring a sauna!

On Sunday Hunter received his blessing. It was a beautiful blessing that his Papa gave him. We are so greatful that our family was able to come out and spend this special time with us. We really appreciate everything they have done for us!

Our Bundle of Joy is Here

Finally our beautiful baby boy is here! After 15 anxious hours of labor he arrived in the world on the 22nd of July at 8:14am. He weighed 6lbs 9oz and was 19inches long.

Minutes after he was born my sister Mandi made the comment "He's a mini-Jay!" indeed he is! He is definatly all Hoffman just like I knew he would! He is perfect! I never knew I could love something so much. He is the greatest little blessing in our lives and we are so lucky he is here and healthy! Welcome to the family son!

Home Sweet Home

Finally home sweet home! There truly is no place like home! Well, as we were just settling in, of course, they send my hard workin husband on another trip. At least it was just an over-nighter. He was sent to do "personel drops" high altittude low opening (AKA HALO). It looks like a lot of fun. Little dangerous and nerve-racking knowing my husband is standing at the edge of this gigantic plane without a parachute getting a thrill from watching these men do back flips from his plane!
