Snow for Valentines!

It snowed in Charleston!!! Something I didnt
think I would ever see while living here. It has been a couple years since I have seen snow, so to be able to see it and play in it was so much fun!! Charleston recieved about 3-4 inches where we live. So it was a nice, short lived storm! Hunter at first was a little unsure about it all and acted a little afraid, but he quickly over came his "fear" and began to have some fun.

I thought my house looked so pretty with all the snow around it. Lets just hope my palm trees will live through all this strange weather!

Valentines Day was great this year! My husband and I were able to go on a really nice date to dinner and a movie (Valentines Day) which I actually recommend. My wonderful hubby spoiled me with beautiful flowers and chocolate (of course!). Not to mention we havent been on a date like that since Hunter was born. It was a much needed night, and I thank him very much for it all! Hope everyone was able to enjoy their Valentines day with their loved ones!

Where Did THAT Come From??

Well, lets just say it has been quite a morning for myself and apparently Hunter. Today was Hunter's 18 month old check up. Needless to say, he did not want to go. Hunter began to whimper just walking into the clinic. I tried to clam him down a little before we went inside and it had seemed to work. I got him checked in, we sat down, all was well. After a moments wait, he started getting a little anxious again, but shortly they called us back. As we walked through the door and entered the patient room Hunter began to SCREAM. Not like any scream I have ever heard come from my child either. So I looked him over, checked to see if he got hurt or was being pinched ect. Nothing. The nurse kindly asked for me to take his shoes off and sit him on the scale to be weighed, and Hunter must have thought it was going to be painful because he acted as if he were about to sit on a scale of nails. He through the biggest tantrum I have ever seen or experienced in his 18months of life. Yes, the nurse and I were kicked, hit, he attempted to bite which he has never done before, threw his head back with a self caused injury, twisted all around, caused himself to choke, and of course continued to scream bloody murder. I was so embarrassed because this is not like Hunter. I had no idea how to control him without wanting to pattle his butt. So I sternly grabbed him, sternly sat him on my lap, and held him tightly so he was not able to get off. Yep, he continued to scream. The evaluation had to go on. Hunter's health, perfect! He is 28lbs, almost 34inches tall, and in the 80th percentile for both. His butt!? He is lucky he still has one! jk. So my question is to those parents that have had maybe a recent experience with their children like this, what did you do? I did not want to spank Hunter because I didnt want the Doc to think I was a terrible parent, but there was no spot in the clinic for "time out." I know this is the first of more to come, but I felt alone at how to handle this. Did I mention how embarrassed I was...Holy COW!! There are no words to explain.

*My Little Blessings*

I cannot believe that my little boy is almost 18months old! It really hits hard when they really start to gain their own independence. I love that he is growing, but at the same time it breaks my heart that he doesn't have that "need" for me anymore. Hunter is such a good little guy. Justin and I are truly blessed to have such a great boy. Over course we have our days, but even those days I cant really complain...much! With Hunter getting so big, I thought it was be fun to make a post for myself of fun little facts about him.
* He loves, loves to rough around with his daddy!
* He gives the best "open mouth" kisses, and great hugs.
* He loves bath time.
* He pee's on the potty before taking a bath!!
* He no longer sits in his highchair to eat, he has a big boy seat at the table.
* He sleeps in his Harley room in a big boy bed.
* He loves to be read too.
* He loves movies.
* He is very good at throwing and hitting baseball's.
* He flirts! (Makes the cutest, cheesiest smile)
* He says"no" and "no, daddy" all the time, mostly not meaning anything.
* He loves to dance!
* He is still very attached to his little blue blankey. Without it, we would be in trouble!
* He is our pride and joy and we know he will make a great big brother!
Hooray!!! I am finally in my third trimester! I am so excited to have this little guy! Being pregnant has never been my cup of tea, so it will nice to not be pregnant anymore!
Things I like about pregnancy
* I can eat whatever I want and not care!
* To have a special bond with the baby before it even enters the world.
* To have the knowledge that I carried and nurtured the baby to have life.
* Of course to become a mother is absolutely one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me.
Things I am not going to miss about being pregnant
* Being/feeling huge!
* My constant back pain.
* Peeing every 30mins.
* Not being able to breathe. Feeling winded.
* Baby hiccups! My unborn babies have these all the time!!! Its cute the first time, not so much anymore! lol
* The pressure in my ribs. Yes I love their cute little feet, but not in my ribs!
* My restless mind. I worry a lot about what I can do to keep my body and baby healthy for the safest delivery and to have a healthy baby.
* Bad dreams!! What is it with pregnancy and bad dreams???
I cannot wait to hold this little guy! Truly, my babies are what I live for. I love being a mommy. Watching them learn and grow and being their nurturer is what I love. These are moments I love and live for. I am so grateful that I am able to have my own babies and to share this time with my hubby. I hope the next 11 weeks fly bye!!

Our Very Merry Christmas!

We had such a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! It was so much fun watching Hunter participate in all that we did and have so much fun doing it! It is so much fun having young kids during the Christmas season!

Our Christmas Eve...
Being our own family now, we have tried to create our own Christmas traditions. So this year I think was a great start. Justin makes amazing sugar cookies so this Xmas Eve he was put into the kitchen!
Hunter enjoyed frosting(dipping) and eating the cookies!

Of course as bedtime came, Santa came as well!
This year Santa brought him a "Lightening McQueen" power wheels!
This is the face every parent wants to see on their childs face as they see what Santa has brought them! This made my Christmas!

Hmmm wonder what it is....
Yes, its for his Harley (go figure). Its a Luggage Bag for his bike.
Indeed, I was spoiled! I got a diamond wedding band!!! And a braclet! They are sooo pretty!! Thanks babe!
We had an amazing Christmas! I just want to thank my family for everything! I am grateful my husband was home to be able to spend it with us this year! I love my family, and I am so excited for the new year!!! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

BIG ChANgEs!!!

Before
Recently we have been super busy trying to prepare our home for another addition! So our home went under construction, something I call "operation Harley Davidson!" As you know, Justin loves his Harley. He loves anything about Harley D. Now, his little boy has grown to love them as well. He loves to ride with his daddy! I must say it is so adorable to see him light up when daddy takes him for a small, slow ride! So, now that Hunter is growing and we have another on the way, we decided to begin Hunter's "big boy" room. Which is odviously themed Harley Davidson! Harley bedspread, Harley orange for the paint, the letters HUNTER in black and orange on the wall. It is adorable. I am so glad its done!

After!

I am now a little over 26weeks! Yay for me! I am still in a little pain with the my kidneys, but its definately tollerable compared to what I have been in. So we are hoping the fluid is no longer building up. Here are some not so great belly shots, but hey you get the idea....my belly is growing!
